About the Role
Senior leadership role overseeing a team of payroll executives and analysts. You will drive operational excellence, mentor the team and serve as the escalation point for key client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle payroll operations for all India clients (100+ payroll accounts)
- Lead a team of 6–10 payroll executives; mentoring and performance management
- Design and enforce maker-checker governance and payroll SLA frameworks
- Drive statutory compliance: PF/ESIC/PT/TDS/LWF across all states
- Liaise with clients for monthly payroll sign-offs and escalation handling
- Collaborate with tech team on GreytHR configurations and integrations
- Monthly and quarterly MIS, dashboards and executive reporting
Requirements
- 10+ years in payroll operations; 3+ years in a leadership role
- Deep expertise in India statutory compliance across all major states
- Experience managing outsourced payroll for 50+ client accounts
- GreytHR / SAP HCM / ADP or equivalent enterprise HRMS
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Exposure to global payroll (UAE / Singapore)
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification
